MBSR stands for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, a structured program that aims to reduce stress, alleviate pain and improve physical and mental well-being through skills such as breathing exercises, mindful meditation and gentle stretching. MBSR teaches students to relax their bodies and slow their minds to find mindfulness, a more conscious, present way of thinking and problem solving. Students will learn to use mindfulness practices to manage stress, worry, anxiety, burnout, fatigue, sleep-issues, pain and other challenges and demands of everyday life.
